Pack Rat’s 10 Essentials (Pick 10 - Part 1)
PLEASE READ ~ In this video I will discuss the 10 pieces of gear that I consider essential in my kit. This is only my opinion based on my own personal experience. I have made this video as a suggestion only. The gear you choose may differ based on your region/climate, resources in your area, your own skills, etc. Each individual should give this topic some thought and decide for themselves what they consider to be their essentials based on these variables. The actually pieces I show are not meant to be a firm recommendation on any particular model or brand name but rather a suggestion on a category of items. Most of the time I do carry more than these 10 pieces of gear when I go into the wilderness, but this is an attempt to narrow down my kit to just bare essentials. Please feel free to comment. Part 1.

This is very helpful. Thank you, PackRat, for your time well spent :)
that gerber saw completely failed me. the pivot/joint crapped-out irreparably. the blades seemed rather resilient, but this is, of course, moot.
I agree I love the Gerber Saw. It cuts much faster than an axe and for the money and weight its hard to bet. Good video.
ARE YOU OFF FOR A CAMPING WEEK END..OR OFF TO SAVE THE WORLD….YOU`LL HAVE TO RELAX MATE.
@76bts The Fiskars aggressive cut pruning saw is pretty tough as well
i like the other music better
