Question by Scamp: Inexpensive Essentials, Camping?
I will be taking my younger brother camping late Next Week for Spring Break.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been camping and want to do the whole bare essentials, hike or canoe out somewhere and camp for a couple days.

I will be making an alcohol stove and bringing water purification as well as some lightweight camping pans. A mini tent and good sleeping bag, some paper gold, a hatchet, folding shovel, and some food, probably some MRE’s.

Any suggestions on other good things to bring?

Be sure to take the ten essentials so you are prepared for an injury or delay. See the website below for a description/reminder of what to take. Also, the second link will show you how to construct an alcohol stove for free with things lying around the house.
